I've come up with the one--Crystal

I think I have figured out the quilt I would like to do for my house. I want to make a wall hanging with our family name on it. I'll probably have to design it myself, but I'm looking for some ideas online. I might even make it a mystery quilt for the BOM. I thought that would be intersting. If you'd be interested in something like this let me know. I'm going to start on it after I get the design part done and find the colors I like for my hosue. My colors will probably be red, black or brown, and one other color to match that (haven't figured out which yet, maybe a sage green). I'm probably going to use some ribbon on it and the name will be appliqued.

Block of the Month (BOM)--Crystal

I want to start a quilt BOM group. First I will need quilters, second I will need quilt block ideas, and third I will need time to sew. If you aren't a quilter, that's alright, you should still be able to get started. I then want to get my done by next July so that I can enter it into the fair. I hope that I can get started. Let me know if you'd be interested in joining my group and if you have any quilt block ideas to share.

This one is my favorite so far. There are others I like too. This one I would to do for my daugthers room, she would love it. Very cute.

Flowers--Crystal

I found a website that did a whole month of different ways of making crafty flowers. Here's the link to the website's flowers. They are way cute. I will definitely be making some for sure. You could make some of these and put a pin on the back to pin to a necklace, bag, or as a broach. You could also put a hair clip on the back to put in your hair or your daughter's hair.

I also found this awesome necklace I want to make which also has some very cute flowers to make.

I will post some pics of the ones I make after I make them. Look for updates occasionally.

Also I found this organizer on a craft website and I want to do something very similar. Very cute. One day it will get done, I hope.

Knitting Bag/Purse--Crystal

I will be making this bag. I have two different fabric styles I'll be trying. They will be birthday presents for family. I'm starting now to give me something to do while off from school. I will update the blog with pics of the purses when they are done. Here's the link to the website I found the pattern at.

Purse--Crystal

I finished the purse I started last week. This is the example I used. I really like the fabric I choose for it. It turned out too cute. I didn't have any instructions for it. I didn't want to pay for it, so I just did it myself. I think I did a pretty good job coming up with how to do it.

Bag--Crystal

I finally finished it. I finished sewing the messenger bag I was making for school. It turned out pretty good. It should work. It is kinda small though. I should have made it bigger. But I like it. You can find the instructions here.

Blanket--Jenny

This is a blanket that I made for Rich January 2006, while he was at Great Lakes Naval training. With help from my sister-in-law I cut it somewhat evenly, then we measured the edges and cut strips 1 inch wide, and about 4-6 deep (I can't remember exactly since its been a few years). Then we used safety pins all over to keep the whole thing together in place. Then I tied the lined up strips together and took out the saftey pins. Both fabrics are flannel, so he stayed toasty warm.

New Purse--Crystal

Here is the new Purse I'm going to make. I also will be making a Purse Organizer for it. I don't have the patterns for them and I don't want to pay for them so I'm going to try doing them myself. I hope they turn out just as good. I think I've figured out how to do it. But I still need to finish my messenger bag first. I have it half way done. I'll try to finish it soon.

Apron --Neisha

Here is the apron I made my little boy, Rulon. He got to pick out the fabric and thought it was so cool. He loves to wear it whenever we cook. I just copied the pattern that I made for me in high school. It was very easy and a very fast project. I plan on making a bunch from extra fabric I have and sell them.

Messenger Bag--Crystal

Here is the messenger bag I plan to make. The colors are dark brown and red for the accent. I've washed to fabric. Now onto cutting out the sizes.

I'm also going to make a wallet out of the same material except I need to use two different patterns modified to work together.

*Cake Decorating*
I'm taking a cake decorating class from Michael's Crafts store. It's every Monday in Febaruary. My first class was good. We talked about the different consistencies of frosting and how to frost a cake.
